Free Initial Consultations
Mr. Koetting will discuss your case with you at no charge, either in-person, or by telephone, to determine if the services of an accident reconstruction expert would be helpful to your case. If further work may be warranted, your various options and costs will be discussed prior to any commitment being required.
Collision & Crime Scene Reconstruction
Reconstruction of collisions involving automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, pedestrians, or rail equipment. The reconstruction can encompass either the entire event or be limited to certain factors in the collision. The reconstruction can examine any of the environmental, vehicle, or human factors that caused or contributed to the cause of an event. The reconstruction will be based upon the evidence available and be consistent with scientific principles.
Forensic Mapping & Diagramming
Utilizing state-of-the-art laser scanners, total station surveying equipment, Computer-Aided Drafting, and Design (CADD) software, and simulation software, scale diagrams of collision and crime scenes can be prepared with a high level of accuracy as part of complete reconstruction, or as an exhibit to be used to aid other witnesses. These diagrams can be plotted in any size needed for reports or exhibits.
Crash Data Retrieval
Utilizing the latest software and equipment, the air bag, power-train, or other modules in many late model vehicles can be "imaged" to determine what data may have been recorded prior to and during a collision or other event. This data can include the speed of the vehicle for a period of time prior to the event, the change in velocity due to an impact, whether the brakes were applied, the amount of accelerator that the driver was applying, and dozens of other items of information, depending on the specific vehicle involved in your incident.
Expert Witness Testimony
Mr. Koetting, and associates utilized by Mr. Koetting, are court-qualified experts in the various reconstruction methodologies utilized. As a highly experienced classroom instructor, Mr. Koetting knows how to explain the often complex scientific principles of a comprehensive reconstruction in a manner that is easily understood and palatable to judges and jurors. Prior to testifying, our experts will work with our clients to develop questions and exhibits that will allow a professional presentation of the conclusions reached during our reconstruction. Assistance in analyzing opposing expert's reports and testimony can also be provided, allowing our clients to fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of their opposition's case. Mr. Koetting is an ACTAR accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist.
Training
As a classroom instructor with over 20 years of experience, Mr. Koetting can provide instruction in many topics of traffic accident or crime scene reconstruction. This training can be offered to individuals or to groups of any size.
